This doctor stands out. He is talented, friendly, not quick to rush to surgery, willing to work with the person not just the case file number. I have suggested him several times over without hesitation. The medical field needs more like him….just sayin’
Dr Szerlip is the best! He came highly recommended after I had become disillusioned with my orthopedist in Dallas I had been seeing for 3 years. He discussed options with me, and together we decided that reverse shoulder replacement was the right thing for me. I can’t emphasize enough how well the surgery and subsequent PT went. I never had a moment of pain after my surgery, and the follow up after I returned home was amazing. If I could give him ten stars, I would! Thank you, Dr. Szerlip.
I am almost a year from surgery and cannot thank Dr. Szerlip enough for my new shoulder. It is amazing. And for those who don’t like scars, mine is hardly noticeable. No pain, great movement and when the other one needs it, he’s the doctor of choice.
I feel like I was given a real blessing when Dr. Szerlip was recommended to me by another physician–she told me he wrote the book on the reverse shoulder procedure I needed. Later I found that he had indeed authored a published paper on the procedure and had studied with the maker of the shoulder device in France. He did my surgery in August 2017 and my recovery is going extremely well. I am very grateful for his skill and expertise. In addition, he is very patient-focused and spends a lot of time in post-op office visits on educating and actually listening to the patient. Highly recommend him.
After a bad fall from a ladder and seeing two other doctors, I was referred to Dr Szerlip. He was able to repair the breaks in my arm and shoulder.
Four months post surgery and I have full use of my arm and shoulder.
THANK YOU DR SZERLIP!!
His bedside manner encourages you to have a positive outcome and his skill level at getting the job done right (without any complications) is high. He’s good at what he does and you can tell he really loves what he’s doing….without bragging….he is humble and will downplay his abilities by saying it’s a team effort. No one wants surgery and when you need it and don’t know who to use, it can be frustrating. Before my surgery, I didn’t know him from Adam, but now I do and am very thankful to have made the decision to go with him for my surgery.
I cannot express enough gratitude and thanks to Dr. Szerlip. I tore my bicep away from my forearm while lifting. I waiting to go to the doctor due to moving. I visited Dr. Szerlip, 4 weeks after my injury. He is very kind and a great bedside manner. I had to have surgery to repair the bicep, followed by 6 months of Physical Therapy. Dr. Szerlip was attentive and explained everything to me, the risks, the procedure and the downtime. The surgery went excellent, and i now have full use of my arm again. My scar is minimal. He also did a new procedure for Distal Biceps Repair using the BicepsButton and Tension Slide technique- that used a anchor and screw for reattachment. Excellent experience, and I highly recommend Dr. Szerlip!!
I was referred to Dr. Szerlip by my long-time orthopedic physician. He is VERY knowledgeable, explains things thoroughly and has a specific recovery protocol, which has proven to be so beneficial, I have had no pain since surgery (total reverse shoulder replacement) in June. I recommend him highly!!!
Dr. Ben has me on my way to returning back to normal after breaking my proximal tibia and tearing my meniscus. He placed a plate and 10 screws in my leg but besides the bump from the plate his work has my leg near 100% ahead of schedule. Highly recommended from me.
So, if we combine the “usual” with the “unusual” what do we have? A caring, uber talented professional who genuinely cares about what he does and with whom he does it on. One of a kind Doctor? I think so, or else I wouldn’t have taken the time to write this glowing review..Thank you Dr. Szerlip for taking care of my problem and for caring far beyond the “call of duty.”
